Overview

SHRSS is seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented, dedicated Data Protection & Privacy Architect to join our exciting and fast-paced Global Data Protection team. The Data Protection & Privacy Architect will assist in providing requirements to business teams, while providing compliance support on all aspects of Global privacy laws and regulations, with primary emphasis on GDPR, CCPA, Privacy Shield and state data breach notification laws. The Data Protection & Privacy Architect will also assist in refining and standing up new data protection readiness programs necessitated by evolving global data protection laws and regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, designing, and determining methods to achieve customer business goals for hybrid and cloud-based compliance, security, and privacy outcomes.
  • Considers business and delivery needs and identifies the best approach to resolve.
  • Management of data protection goals and priorities.
  • Designs, presents, troubleshoots, and implements cloud and hybrid infrastructure compliance and/or data protection and privacy solutions.
  • Working across geographies with solution teams to create holistic and uniform security and compliance objectives.
  • Participate in projects as the Privacy SME to ensure alignment with organizational standards and frameworks. Have the ability to gain agreement and consensus among the implementing team is a must.
  • Assisting with data mapping, records of processing activities, DPIAs within the organization.
  • Strong knowledge with privacy and data protection concepts.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between privacy laws and regulations and business imperatives, including developing practical solutions.
  • Assist with development, implementation and maintenance of privacy and data protection policies and standard operating procedures for HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA and other emerging domestic and global privacy laws.
  • Ability to analyze vendor risk assessment, and reviewing vendor security and infrastructure architecture is a must.
  • Managing vendor audits and requalifying them on a scheduled plan.
  • Must be attention-to-detail oriented. Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Self-motivated and passion to exceed expectations.
  • The ability to present information verbally, as well as in written reports is required.
  • Experienced global data protection office operations within the business.
  • Ability to cross-train and work collaboratively with other team members on day-to-day occurrences.
  • Assist in department initiatives and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Cyber Security.
  • CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, and/or CIPT or other relevant privacy certification highly desirable.
  • Minimum of three (5-8) years of experience in a Global DPO compliance role.
  • Experience with design, implementation and maintenance of privacy compliance policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Minimum of three (3) experience in cloud and/or on-premises infrastructure security or with endpoint data loss prevention and/or endpoint security products.
  • Designing data governance rules and/or policies implemented in one or more technical products.
  • Experience with design and implementation in one or more products Microsoft Purview or predecessor technologies from Microsoft security and compliance or comparable solutions.
  • Experience with Information Protection labeling and data classification.
  • High level of personal integrity and confidentiality.
  • Specialized knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM and other emerging privacy laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical and actionable elements while supporting business strategy.
  • Experience in performing privacy risk assessments and ongoing privacy compliance monitoring activities.
  • Have experience with compliance management tools.
  • Microsoft Office suite is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical skills following best business practices.
  • Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills
  • Act proactively.
  • Data Protection and/or Privacy background is a plus.
  • Gaming experience is a plus.
