The Workday Technical Product Manager is responsible for the strategic management and optimization of the Workday HCM system configuration. This role involves leading system implementations and upgrades, serving as a Workday HCM expert, providing user training and support, and collaborating with various departments to enhance HR processes and workflows.
System Management:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Workday HCM system.
- Manage system updates, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes using Workday.
- Develop and implement best practices for system usage and continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to design and implement new system features and functionalities.
Product Strategy and Development:
- Serve as a thought leader in developing product roadmaps for Workday-related products and services.
- Lead and manage major Workday-related projects, including system implementations and upgrades.
- Deliver continuous improvement through use of scrum, SAFe, and other agile methodologies.
- Coordinate multiple timelines, and resources to ensure successful feature delivery.
- Communicate project and sprint status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.
User Support and Training:
- Lead development of training and support to HR staff and other users on Workday functionalities and processes.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of Workday Help articles, user guides, training materials, and system documentation.
- Provide elevated support for complex system issues promptly and effectively. Work with partners in IT, Finance, and Payroll to resolve Workday related cross-functional issues.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with HR, IT, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of Workday with other systems and processes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday-related inquiries and issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
- Certification in Workday (e.g., Workday Pro) is preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS management, with a focus on Workday HCM.
- Proven experience in system implementation, configuration, and maintenance.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Workday HCM modules, including Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, and Payroll.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data reporting and analysis tools within Workday.
- Strong project and product management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with standard working hours.
