Overview

As a Payroll Analyst on our team, you are an essential part of the Global Payroll Shared Services team, which provides payroll to approximately 25,000 team members. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining payroll procedures and system configuration and providing dedicated quality processing services and error-free payroll to our team members

Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurate, consistent, and timely payroll processing in accordance with established deadlines and policies.
  • Effective communication to all team members and outside vendors.
  • Respond in a professional and timely manner to all payroll-related questions.
  • Ensure payroll information is kept confidential at all times. 
  • Reconcile various types of income, including tips.
  • Configure Deduction and earning codes within the proper Pay Component Groups.
  • Conducts monthly analysis of earnings and deduction code usage to determine any variances that may result in a payroll adjustment or correction.
  • Maintain Checklists and SOPs
  • Assist with UKG Time Keeping Pay rules and Business Structure maintenance.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Assist the managers in devising the processes and controls to operate effectively while managing risk.
  • Assist in the day-to-day payroll operations for all areas covered by the team, coordinating with the vendors and the internal team to deliver pay accurately, timely, and effectively within all regulatory, labor, and tax guidelines.
  • Assist with any internal and external audits and examinations, including internal audit, SOX, tax audits, etc.
  • Assist and work closely with HR on regional initiatives, ensuring they are rolled out with a coordinated effort between the teams.
  • Maintain strong and productive relationships with the People team, including Benefits, Global Mobility, Operations, Finance, Shared Services, and other internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Support administering the payroll function through acquisitions and expansion initiatives.
  • Assist with documenting and training payroll processes.
  • Help with the handling of new system implementations.  

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of full payroll cycle processing.
  • Workday or ADP experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred but not required.
  • Previous payroll processing experience within multi-state and union environment required.
  • Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
  • Project management skills to execute while navigating through a variety of different tasks.
  • Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for your success with your clients
  • Collaborative, team-minded, successful attitude to deliver exceptional customer service.

Payroll at Hard Rock is weekly, which makes it high volume, fast pace, but rewarding. The team is fun and energetic and always willing to teach. We are looking for a dedicated team member who is excited to learn and join a diverse team of fun individuals. Next year, we will be going through a complete payroll overhaul, which will require fresh, new band members that will help contribute to the growth of our department and Hard Rock Brand.
