Overview

We seek a servant leader to drive clarity, align priorities, and ensure plans are consistent with business and technology goals. As a thought leader in Gaming applications support, you must influence, instill trust, and gain confidence from technology teams and business partners. Effective teamwork and building cohesive teams to achieve common goals are critical to success. You must understand the broader strategy of Information Technology and the business, translating strategy into program execution enabled by effective technology business operations. As a leader of the gaming support team, you will allow investment and operational initiatives for Hard Rock, utilizing enterprise frameworks, tools, and best practices to ensure seamless ways of working and managing our gaming technology portfolio. Planning, budgeting, and executing the Technology Gaming roadmap are core responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for leading support responsibilities and executing cross-functional and end-to-end delivery of support capability for our consumers and employees. You will lead significant initiatives and implement new working methods (including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid) across Technology and Business teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a motivated team to deploy resources, standards, and disciplines for major corporate and division initiatives.
  • Cultivate a culture of inclusion and promote a growth mentality.
  • Hold cross-functional partners accountable for flexible solutions to meet consumer / business needs.
  • Act as a technology and business mentor, thought partner, and technology evangelist.
  • Encourage and model a culture of trust and collaboration.
  • Maintain and execute Technology and Business Strategic Roadmaps.
  • Lead strategic planning lifecycle.
  • Develop, execute, and manage portfolio and gaming program operating models and tools.
  • Establish metrics for operational status and health reporting.
  • Provide consulting services to senior management to align business needs with IT systems and strategy.
  • Develop cost models for business alternatives, operating budgets, and project budgets.
  • Understand the Casino's business processes, regulatory environment, systems platforms, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Manage hardware and software vendor relationships, including contracts and negotiations.
  • Conduct reviews and ongoing assessments of strengths and weaknesses; provide training for optimum job performance.
  • Prepare salary and promotion recommendations emphasizing technical competencies, increased responsibilities, and teamwork.
  • Develop managers within the department and minimize dependence on single individuals through efficient cross-training.
  • Stay informed of new gaming technological developments and seek methods to optimize systems and application support, ensure efficient costs, and provide focused service levels.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure execution and delivery success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in program and portfolio management, product management, or technical leadership.
  • 6+ years of people management experience leading global distributed teams.
  • Understanding of application support and portfolio management best practices and tools.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Aha!, Asana, etc.
  • Strong understanding and experience in software development processes, including PDLC, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, Scrum, Agile, and Kanban.
  • Experience with ITSM/ITIL tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Understanding web technologies, browsers, analytics, reporting, and content management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written, and experience leading discussions and presenting to varying levels of leadership.

  • Operations management: managing IT business operations including contingent labor, data needs, and engagement in content development.
  • Functional planning: supporting strategic initiatives, functional alignment, technical asks, and communicating them to diverse audiences.
  • Dependency management: assessing, understanding, and managing program dependencies, coordinating teams and resources.
  • Financial planning and management: forecasting, reporting, and managing budgets, including fixed and variable costs.

Work Environment:

  • Duties are typically performed in a professional office setting but may require presence in operating areas exposed to environmental factors such as gaming operations, secondhand smoke, and excessive noise.
