Overview

This position is responsible for data integration and business intelligence development/automation across Hard Rock’s largest Hotels and Casinos. The candidate is expected to be well versed with data analysis, critical thinking, problem-solving, scripting, financial analysis, and dashboard development. The position will interact with all levels of the organization including executive leadership and will directly contribute to critical business decisions leading to maximizing revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

Data, Analytics, & Automation 50%:

  • Develop SQL queries to acquire data from data warehouse to drive analyses and insights.
  • Automate and redevelopment current reports in Tableau and other business intelligence tools.
  • Develop custom scripts, web scrapes, and automation via Python.
  • Be aware of all data sources and data structures within data warehouse.
  • Analyzes robust data sets from a variety of sources, including but not limited to: call center, chat-bots, AI-agents, hotel revenue, F&B revenue, and other third-party data acquisitions.
  • Measure the success of strategic initiatives through appropriate analysis and data aggregation.
  • Present data analysis and findings to all levels of the Company.

 

Reporting 20%:

  • Prepare daily market segmentation reports, production reports, source contribution analysis, pick-up reports, and pace summaries, call volume, and more.
  • Compile month-end revenue, budget, and consumer profile reports.
  • Support revenue management and customer care with ad-hoc requests and analysis.

 

Financial and Operational Modeling 30%:

  • Develop excel and python based operating models to help drive operational efficiency across revenue and customer care.
  • Monitor and model cross divisional guest behavior to support forecasting and understand impact of seasonal/event based patterns.
  • Simulate and project the impact of strategic changes on revenue and cost using time-based modeling.
  • Create real time models using Tableau Dashboards and Parameters

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years reporting and analytics experience.
  • Bachelors in data science, computer science, finance, statistics, hospitality management, marketing, information management, or similar.
  • Experience in hospitality preferred, specifically revenue management, operations, finance, or marketing.
  • Knowledge of Revenue Management or Call Center is a plus.
  • Strong Excel and Python a must.
  • Intermediate experience with SQL required. Current DB is Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence/visualization tool required.
  • Experience with Alteryx is a plus.
  • Some exposure or experience to financial and cash flow modeling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex formulas, calculations, and scripts.
  • A team player with strong analytical, communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Outstanding organizational skills are a must, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software, mainly Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent personal management skills; time management, meeting deadlines, effective communication and presentations skills.

 

Work Environment:

  • This position is on-site in Hollywood, Florida.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekend, and holidays; some travel is required.
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional office setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
