Overview

To manage and lead company-wide operational programs for responsible gambling (PlayersEdge) and anti-human trafficking programs, and to support community partnerships, engagement, and communications. This manager is an internal and external representative for the company’s programs and relationships, focused on: developing, operating and evolving programs corporately and at the property level, contributing to public and community awareness of responsible gambling and anti-human trafficking efforts, and managing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead operations of the company-wide responsible gambling (PlayersEdge) and anti-human trafficking programs across SGA/Hard Rock business verticals, and deliver GSR communications across the enterprise.
  • This work includes: gathering, managing, and analyzing data, organizing and leading program and operational elements and communications corporately and at properties, including monitoring performance at property level.
  • Contribute to strategy development, continuous improvement, and evaluation of program performance.
  • Develop and manage team member engagement and education at corporate and property level: lead meetings by developing agendas, content materials, and scheduling; ensure compliance reporting by each property to requirements of program; collaborate with other corporate departments including quality assurance, brand standards, design/construction, communications and marketing, and operations.
  • Expand anti-human trafficking program and grow communications for cafe division.
  • Manage corporate relationships with a range of global, national, and local stakeholders, including the National Problem Gambling Council, the International Responsible Gambling Center, PACT, Twenty-Four Seven, Covenant House, all state councils on problem gambling across all jurisdictions where Hard Rock operates, stakeholders in Japan, stakeholders in jurisdictions where Hard Rock seeks new licenses (e.g. New York).
  • Maintains the organization's mission, vision, and values; and upholds and operates in accordance with statutes, regulations, and corporate visual identity on documents, websites, and social media.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Role-specific skills:

  • Integrative thinker who can understand, plan and deliver on program strategy that combines business and SR objectives and outcomes.
  • Specialized knowledge and experience in social responsibility and related disciplines which include: research, quantitative data analysis, project management, marketing, communications, and public reporting. Consideration will be given to experience in the field of responsible gambling specifically.
  • Knowledge of and experience in gaming, hotel, cafe business operations, compliance, along with an understanding of the related social responsibility needs of those sectors, along with Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming corporate environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to create high quality documents and deliver effective briefings for a range of internal and external audiences.
  • Strong analytical and data knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work with different disciplines and across all parts of HRI, SGA, SHRSS and to devise solutions that support a range of stakeholders often in complex, politically sensitive interdependent relationships, including highly expert groups and independent research sources.
  • Knowledge of operating in highly regulated environments, and with third party standards, and in contexts shaped by government policies.

General:

  • High school education or equivalent, undergraduate degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in social responsibility, or a related field. Consideration will be given to qualified candidates with a social responsibility background who also have experience in gaming and hospitality operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software systems.
  • General knowledge about operations, management, IT, analytics, change management, project management.
  • Sound interpersonal judgment, discretion and decision-making skills, professionalism, political acuity, communications and ability to deal directly with guests, vendors, senior leaders across corporate office, properties, the Seminole Tribe of Florida, a wide range of community stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
  • Flexible approach to work and time schedules, as needed, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
